BOOK SPOTLIGHT: Templet's Tasty Tails @MickieSherwood #MFRWauthor

Templet's Tasty Tails
Mainstream (PG13) Contemporary, Interracial
Mickie Sherwood

Web Designer Erika Washington's contract with her childhood best friend covers all possibilities about her pregnancy. But, one unpredictable event redirects her future. As a donor-surrogate, what does one do when fate changes the plan and claims the lives of the intended parents? If you're selfless, strong-willed Erika Washington, you mount a defense to keep your baby.

Entrepreneur Booker Templet, owner of Templet's Tasty Tails, secretly agrees to help his first cousin. However, unfortunate circumstances change the course of his life. After he learns the identity of the other donor, Booker plans to be a part of his child's life. No matter what.

Will Erika and Booker battle over custody of the baby? Will their horrible loss help them find consolation in each other's arms? Or will fate intervene yet again?

Loss…life…love. What a difference a year makes!
EXCERPT
Erika allowed him to escort her up the stairs and across the porch. He held the screen for her to enter his house. Ceiling fans circulated the crosscurrent breeze coming through the open windows. The room's atmosphere lured her in further. Since he remained at her back, she swiveled to look at him.

""Is that surprise you're trying to hide?""

""Yes. I'll admit it. I'm surprised."" She smiled at him. ""I thought I was coming to your packing facility."" Erika pivoted to look around.

""Down that hallway. You can't miss it.""

""Thanks."" Her steps were brisk but quiet because of her sneakers. ""I won't be long.""

""Take your time.""

She made haste in taking care of her needs. When she emerged, he was nowhere in sight. Nosy, she peeked into each doorway on her trek to the front porch. Through the last one, she spotted a tall cabinet filled with horse and rider trophies. A cowboy. Opening the screen door, Erika said, ""I'm ready.""

Booker, sitting in a rocker, had his leg leisurely draped over the arm. He got up. ""Did you handle your business okay?""

""Do you always come across as having no tact?"" Erika left him on the porch. Turning, she continued, ""Or is that reserved for my benefit?""

""Sorry. I know I can be blunt at times.""

""You can say that again.""

""I know I can be—""

""Oh. Now you've got jokes."" Giving him an admonishing eye, she headed around the house.

""I don't know why""—his long steps had him beside her—""but you strike me as someone who's intuitive, artistic, creative, clever, and all with a sense of humor.""

Erika stopped suddenly. ""You've got to be kidding."" She looked at the black rims with the silver, riveted studs.

""No. I mean every word.""

""No,"" she contested. ""Not that."" Erika looked up at Booker, then at his truck. ""That.""

Laughing, Booker placed a hand on her shoulder. ""See what I mean? A sense of humor on display.""

""I can't climb up there."" Although she adjusted the leg of her jeans, her protruding tummy hindered her knee lift.

""You don't have to."" He uttered those words as he reached and cradled her in his arms.

""Put me down, Booker Templet.""

""Erika."" He looked her dead in her unbelieving eyes. ""It's the only way to get you into the truck. Will you open the door for me, please?""

She did. ""Now, put me down."" Her tush met the leather seat.

#Christmas in July BOOK SPOTLIGHT: Evergreen by #MFRWauthor @ErinCMcRae @Racheline_M @Torquere

Evergreen

Racheline Maltese & Erin McRae
Erotic GLBT Romance
Torquere Press

When bisexual polyamorous TV star Liam Campbell returns home to New York City for the holidays he finds out his best friend (with benefits) Charles Ortwin has recently acquired a serious boyfriend.

Thrown by not being the center of everyone's attention, Liam seeks out advice from various lovers and friends. each of whom are tied up with their own sensual pleasures.

When a holiday party ends in a series of arguments between Charles, the new boyfriend, and Liam, it takes a snowy Christmas, a bit of honest communication, and some delightful sexual agony to put everything back as it should be.

An interracial, bisexual, polyamorous, Hollywood, holiday romance.  What happens when a former child star goes home for the holidays?

EXCERPT
When Liam gets back to his room Charles is asleep in his bed, at least somewhat undressed judging by the sweater and socks that are scattered on the floor. Liam sighs, but at this point he’s more amused than annoyed at the presumption. After everything that’s been fucked up about tonight, and even with everything they’re apparently going to have to talk about tomorrow, Charles passed out in his bed is comfortingly normal.
So Liam strips, and crawls into bed next to him, and leans over to turn off the light before wrapping an arm around Charles’ side and snuggling close. Above them, the stars on the ceiling glow.
When he wakes up in the morning, though, things feel complicated in that way Liam’s not used to, not with Charles. Charles is still asleep, his arm thrown over his head on the pillow, and Liam traces the long tendon in his wrist with a finger while he waits for Charles to wake up. While Liam’s still not sure that Victor’s right about Liam’s marriage being the trigger for Charles’s bullshit or even right that Liam and Charles are dating, he is right that they need to talk about it.
Finally, Charles stirs, and opens a bleary eye when Liam runs his whole palm along his arm. “What?” he asks, lifting a hand to rub his eyes and then squinting them shut again.
“Are you my boyfriend?”

Scarlet Ties: Taste BOOK SPOTLIGHT @SamaraKing #MFRWauthor

MFRW Author Samara King released Scarlet Ties: Taste, an Erotic Interracial Paranormal Romance, with Totally Bound Publishing.

A recluse vampire hotelier meets his match with a sexy reporter.

Reporter Ashlyn Douglas always gets what she wants. Her target—an interview with the elusive Rayven brother Cyrus, and to get the goods on the notoriously erotic-themed hotel that only a chosen few are able to visit. Ashlyn won’t admit to anyone the instant connection she feels towards Cyrus during her research on him and his twin brother, Coye. She has no intention of starting an affair. She plans to stick to the business at hand and get the truth behind the history of Rayven clan. But is Ashlyn ready for what Cyrus requests of her in return?

Cyrus Rayven isn’t a man of many words. His need for communication with the outside world left him the moment his mate, Jordana, died years ago. Though he has his choice of lovers, no woman has moved him since. That is until Ashley’s shapely curves and wicked tongue make everything within his cold vampire heart run scalding hot. He’ll grant the exclusive interview she seeks, but not before she spends five nights in his bed. Will Cyrus accept the newfound love between them?

EXCERPT
The Manor made no distinction when it came to how a client chose to execute their
fantasies. They offered their services to an exclusive few, and the amenities afforded to those lucky enough to be chosen would keep the brothers in business for a long time to come. All clients were required to sign a waiver that forbade them to talk about their encounters with members of the media, and, as an extra precaution, patrons were driven to the facility blindfolded. So far, they had managed to avoid any major lawsuits or television coverage, not that the press and several magazines hadn’t tried every game in the book to gain access to the infamous Rayven brothers. If his brother, Coye, would be more discreet about his own affairs, their chances of keeping their secrets hidden would be even greater.
Cyrus scowled as he thought of his brother. Coye was never denied an opportunity to indulge. Sleeping with the mayor’s daughter had almost cost them their business a year ago. His sibling’s lack of restraint was merely one difference between them. Coye believed in utilizing his heritage as a Deiwalker to the hilt, while Cyrus saw it as a handicap.
