 Blurb
After saving the life of the glamorous Marquise de Harfleur, painfully shy barmaid Alice Henshawe is employed as the lady’s companion and whisked away to Versailles. There, she catches King Louis’ eye and quickly becomes a court favorite as the muse for Charles Perrault’s Cinderella. The palace appears to be heaven itself, but there is danger hidden beneath the façade and Alice soon finds herself thrust into a world of intrigue, murder, and Satanism at the heart of the French court.

Having left his apprenticeship to serve King Charles as a spy, Jack Sharpe is given a mission that may just kill him. In the midst of the Franco-Dutch war, he is to investigate rumors of a poison plot by posing as a courtier, but he has a mission of his own. His childhood friend Alice Henshawe is missing and he will stop at nothing to see her safe. When he finds her in the company of the very people he is meant to be investigating, Jack begins to wonder if the sweet girl he grew up with has a dark side.

When a careless lie finds them accidentally married, Alice and Jack must rely on one another to survive the intrigues of the court. As old affection gives way to new passion, suspicion lingers. Can they trust each other, or is the real danger closer than they suspect?

Kismet (Part of the Totally Five Star collection)

Tanvi Sharma has always lived life carefully. What has she done then, to deserve the sentence her
family has subjected her to? What cruel form of kismet has intervened so drastically to change her life, as she knows it?

Working as a contracted accountant to the Totally Five Star, New Delhi offers Tanvi a little solace and removes her from the stifling environment of her father’s business. But she knows it’s only temporary. Soon she has to accept her fate and agree to the marriage her parents have arranged for her, to a man she despises.

She’s all but resigned to her ominous future when a smouldering look from a handsome businessman starts Tanvi’s juices flowing and she allows herself to fantasize about a relationship that could never work. But would a short-term affair be so wrong? Perhaps a no strings attached fling with a handsome stranger is just what she needs before entering into a loveless, passionless union.

When Australian businessman, Alexander Banks spots Tanvi in the hotel restaurant, the exotic and aloof creature immediately intrigues him. Alex, never one to shirk from a challenge, quickly learns that he has his work cut out for him if he wants to get closer to the reserved, beauty.

Alex soon realizes that cultural differences and long held traditions are obstacles greater than he could ever envision and light years away from his Western rational. Just when he expected that a relationship with his Indian beauty might be going somewhere, someone else has other plans and the Totally Five Star hotel becomes a dangerous and risky place for them to be.
EXCERPT“He is sooo hot!” Riya loud-whispered, fanning her face theatrically. “And he’s obviously into you.”
Tanvi glared at her friend. “Will you keep your voice down!”
In truth, Tanvi couldn’t understand why the man seemed so interested in her, particularly when she was sitting with Riya, who looked amazing in wide-legged, navy linen pants cinched tight at the waist and a white silk blouse.
She surreptitiously studied the man from under lowered lashes as she picked at the fruit on her plate. He was really attractive. He definitely took care of himself and she imagined he’d be using the hotel’s gym facilities on a daily basis. Even under his blue dress shirt she could see the definition in his arms and chest and, when he moved, his shirt strained slightly around his broad shoulders. When she’d looked directly at him on her way back from the breakfast buffet, she’d immediately noticed his blue eyes, piercing ice-blue, which were slightly intimidating. He had a scar dissecting his right cheek but, rather than marring what could have been considered a beautiful face it gave him a sexy and dangerous edge. She’d barely been able to contain her shudder of awareness as she’d walked by him. She took another quick peek across at him and decided that he swam a lot—his muscular shoulders and sun-streaked brown hair indicated that he spent time outside and in the water.
Tanvi glanced across at Riya, who was ogling the man blatantly. “Look at that hard jaw!” she whispered. “He just seems so…so masculine.”
Tanvi rolled her eyes. “You’ve been watching too many Hollywood movies.”
“Well, that man could have stepped directly out of a movie set where he’s the sexy, brooding hero,” Riya breathed with exaggerated awe. “He has alpha male written all over him.”
Tanvi laughed. “And what do you know about alpha males?”
“What don’t I know? You’re aware that I’m hardly a blushing maiden.” She smirked. “And I’ve read quite a bit of erotica and, you know, we have some good erotic authors here in India?”

Book Spotlight: Need Your Love @DeanPaceFrech #MFRWauthor

MFRW Author Dean Pace-Frech released Need Your Love, an Erotic GLBT Historical Romance.
In June 1966, ACLU attorney Eron Lassiter attends his uncle’s wedding and makes an unsettling discovery. Though Eron had bowed to family pressure and planned a potential marriage, his long-ignored attraction to other men roars to life when Garrett Emerson, the bride’s nephew, captures his attention.

After serving in the Korean War and going to college later than his peers, upwardly mobile Garrett now works as a loan officer at a local bank. For his girlfriend -- fiancée in her mind -- Garrett can’t climb fast enough. But none of that matters to Eron, and maybe that’s why Garrett’s so drawn to him.

Together, can Eron and Garrett find happiness amidst the pervasive culture of propriety, honor, and expectation of the 1960s?
EXCERPT
By the time they made it to the beach, the July heat and humidity had reached their peak. They grabbed some burgers and fries from a boardwalk stand and snatched a table as a family got up. “You want to stay and swim?” Eron asked as he gobbled down his burger.
    “Not really, too crowded.”
“When I was a kid, we’d never let the crowd stop us from swimming,” Eron quipped.
“Yeah, guess we have some sense now.”
They finished eating. Eron nodded toward the car rather than the beach. Garrett smirked and followed. As Garrett drove back to his apartment, Eron reached out and touched his thigh.
“I’m sorry,” Eron blurted out, in line with his own thoughts, but out of nowhere in the silence.
“For what?” Garrett answered, as if he and Eron were thinking about the same thing.
    “I guess the whole thing.”
Garrett looked at him and grimaced. “What do you mean?”
“I feel like I start things and then put them to rest.”
Garrett shrugged. “I suppose things can be kind of sticky between us.”
    “I don’t want them to be. I haven’t regretted anything we’ve done.”
“Having sex in the bushes at the country club?”
    “Nope.”
    “Dancing at the Valentine’s dance?”
    “Not at all.”
“Maybe if we lived in a vacuum and didn’t have to deal with the rest of the world, this would be easier?”
    “Maybe.”

Book Spotlight: Memories of You by #MFRWauthor Charlotte Daly

MFRW Author Charlotte Daly released book one in The Lake George Series, Memories of You with Lachesis Publishing.

Three years ago Zoe’s happily-ever-after shattered when her husband was murdered and she was brutally raped. In an attempt to reclaim her life and bury her demons, Zoe sets out for picturesque Lake George, New York, and a visit to the treasured family cottage she recently inherited. But what she finds is a rundown shack.

The neighboring resort owner, Jason Rolland immediately invites Zoe to stay at his upscale lodge. He’s determined to get rid of the eye-sore next door, the last reminder of his less-than-perfect childhood. Now, he needs to charm the red-haired beauty into selling. A challenge he’s definitely up for.

Zoe is attracted to the tall, dark-haired charmer with the intoxicating blue eyes, but is Jason the man who can help her heal or will his player past break her fragile heart?" Charlotte Daly writes rich contemporary romance that shoots straight for the heart. Set on the shores of gorgeous Lake George, NY, Memories of You - a tale of shattered lives rebuilt, with love.

EXCERPT
Memories of You, Book I The Lake George Series
Zoe was tired and getting a little hungry. Thinking of the pub, a cool glass of wine sounded nice right about now, too. Where the hell was this Rolland guy, and why couldn’t the old biddy behind the counter simply point the way to her aunt’s—scratch that, her—cottage?
She was busy thumbing through a colorful flyer advertising local attractions when the glass door squeaked opened. She looked up.
And all the irritation and fatigue of the day melted away into a single, warm, wet lump in her lower belly.
He was tall—quite tall, and somewhat lanky, but broad shouldered like a male model. His jeans fit his body as if the denim was enjoying every minute. His unbuttoned, white polo shamelessly hugged a lean, sculptured torso.
This guy stepped out of a Calvin Klein ad. Surely, this can’t be Mr. Rolland.
She’d been picturing a man close in age to the woman she’d been trying to ignore for the past twenty minutes. But as he came through the door, the man glanced quickly at Betty, who nodded in Zoe’s direction. Then he turned his eyes toward her.
Those must be colored contacts. I’ve never seen eyes the same clear, almost iridescent hue as a swimming pool. Maybe it was the contrast against the hair—jet black, stick-straight, and ornery. He’d tried to tame it with some sort of product, but with little success. One chunk hung defiantly over his dark brow.
*    *    *
“Hi. I’m Jason Rolland.”
Jason extended his hand, his gaze scanning every inch of the shapely redhead in the bright, flowered sundress. What the hell was it made of? The clingy fabric outlined every one of her curves. The hem had inched up, gifting him with a view of an incredible set of legs.
So this is the woman I’m going to have to spar with over old Delia’s property. I was hoping this would be a simple, long-distance real estate transaction handled by my attorney. This is going to be a little more complicated than I was anticipating.
Shit.
He cleared his throat as he watched Zoe untangle her legs and struggle to her feet.
Her naked feet. They were perfect too—two tiny, smooth-looking little bugs with pale pink toenails. Innocent little feet, shamelessly exposed. Her toes pressed desperately on the surface of the pristine white tile.
“Hi. I’m Zoe Anderson.”

Let's listen to A Vampyre Rhapsody on #Thursday13 @Linda Nightingale

 About  #MFRWauthor  Linda Nightingale

I was born in South Carolina, have lived in England, Canada, Miami, Atlanta and now Houston. I’ve seen a lot of this country from the windshield of a truck pulling a horse trailer, having bred, trained and showed Andalusian horses for thirteen years.
With Cardinal Desires, a vampire paranormal to be released in 2013 by Double Dragon Publishing, I won the Georgia Romance Writers Magnolia Award. I retired from the legal field and have two wonderful sons. My passions are Andalusian and Lusitano horses, my snappy little sports car and my parlor grand piano.

          Morgan D'Arcy: A Vampyre Rhapsody

             Genre: Paranormal Romance
             Publisher: The Wild Rose Press

The greatest enemy of a vampire is boredom. Four centuries of existence have taught Lord Morgan Gabriel D'Arcy to fear nothing and no one. Humans and their weapons have little chance against his preternatural speed and arcane powers. Vampires are viral mutations of human DNA. Still, the Vampyre code requires secrecy, and he has learned to hide his nature from the world. The lure of mortality, of a life in the sun, puts Morgan again and again at the mercy of calculating human women though they fail to consider his charm and determination into the equation. However, even grooming a future bride from infancy proves to be fraught with heartbreak. And second chances are not always what they seem unless... you are Morgan. Immortality and beauty, aren’t they grand?
