13 Ways You Know You’re a Child of the Seventies:
You know far-out had nothing to do with distance. You could macrame your own swimsuit. You painted lower eyelashes a la Twiggy You were mesmerized watching a lava lamp. You burned your bra. You know what TV show “You bet your sweet bippy” came from. You danced on a lighted dance floor under a disco ball. You remember when a Tab was a soft drink. You remember when “rubbers” were sold behind the pharmacy counter. You tripped on your bell bottoms. You were traumatized by a black light poster of sexual positions. You know getting down meant you were in the groove. You thought push-button phones were super fast.
A former feature-story writer and correspondent, #MFRWauthor Helen Henderson has also written fiction as long as she could remember. Her heritage reflects the contrasts of her Gemini sign. She is a descendent of a coal-miner's daughter and an aviation flight engineer. This dichotomy shows in her writing which crosses genres from historical adventures and westerns to science fiction and fantasy. In the world of romantic fantasy, she is the author of two series: the Dragshi Chronicles and the Windmaster novels.
