The pure exhaustion of eternal punishment as a fallen has left our sexy
but naughty angel, Samyaza, desperate for companionship…desperate to be
set free and only you hold the key.
What would you give for one night of unbridled passion? Samyaza gave
his life, his freedom…everything. After thousands of years of pain and
punishment the fallen one thought he’d seen it all...not even close.
Now evil threatens the world and the Watchers are our only hope.
Falling from grace was easy, eternal suffering has become common place,
wishing for death an everyday occurrence but when faced with a chance
for redemption Samyaza fears he could fail.
His test for heavenly grace comes in the form of a beautiful,
confident, modern woman who captures the fallen one heart and soul.
Strength he has. Faith in the God that sentenced him to a life in
chains he holds close but all may be lost with just one look from this
very special woman.
With his life, his soul and his heart on the line, can Samayza save the world or destroy it?
The Watchers are waiting, wanting…needing you. It’s time to live life on the dark side.
Time is running out. Evil forces threaten the very survival of the human race. Our only hope…The Watchers.
The fate of humanity lies in the hands of these twelve stunningly sexy, sinful fallen angels.
Only destiny knows if they will save us or doom to hell.

13 Short paragraphs from Of Love and Betrayal
1. The fine hairs on her arms stood on end. Her knees shook. Her belly tightened. And when a twig snapped from somewhere behind, she shoved a fist into her mouth to keep from crying out.
2. Conversation ceased as he entered the darkened, smoke-filled room. He ignored the curious looks as he stood in the center of the room with an unconscious woman in his arms. “Does this girl belong to anyone?”
3. Aveline’s eyes flickered open, and she quickly closed them again as the harsh bright firelight burned her eyes. There was a foul taste in her dry mouth, and her head ached. It felt as if someone had whacked the side of her skull with a rock.
4. The yells of men and the high-pitched squeal of a woman echoed through the inn. And when Aveline heard the loud, booming bellow, “Tear the place down!” she erupted into full body tremors. She fought down a primal scream and clutched her throat.
5. They stood toe to toe. Their breath, white on the frosty air, plumed around them like puffs of smoke. But Aveline would not back away. She would not let yet another man intimidate or control her.
6. The fine hairs at the nape of her neck stood on end as Troy’s beard rasped against the tender spot just beneath her ear. She leaned forward in the saddle in an attempt to put some distance between them. She did not like how she reacted to him.
7, Aveline rubbed the heel of her palm across her chest. Was she attempting to wipe away her guilt? For she was on the crag of betraying the very man who, despite knowing the risks, was prepared to help her when no one else would.
8. He did not take his eyes from her as she dipped a corner of the cloth into the water. His eyes narrowed and darkened as she came forward and stood between his legs. She faltered, unnerved by the way he looked at her.
9, The bond of brotherhood had long been broken and could not be mended. At least, not completely. Too much had happened. And what had happened could never be forgotten. Or forgiven.
10. Aveline’s hand shook as she placed it over her heart. She was suddenly breathless. Her limbs light. Was the fluttering in her belly that of happiness? When was the last time she’d allowed herself to feel such a thing? When was the last time she had reason to?
11. Troy took the rest of the stairs three at a time. Without ceremony he pushed open the door and Aveline shot to her feet. Father Alfonse stood in the center of the room, his Book clasped firmly against his chest. Aveline’s face was as red as the embers in the hearth.
12. His voice trailed off as she took his large hand in hers. She turned it over and used the pad of her finger to lightly trace the deep grooves of the palm of his hand. When his fingers entwined with hers, she looked up. A slight flush stained his freshly shaved cheeks. His eyes darkened and narrowed.
13. Without taking her eyes from him, Aveline eased herself from the bed and tiptoed across the room. He glanced over his shoulder, and her breath caught in the back of her throat. Her lips parted, her hands moistened. A mild pain spread across her heart.

MFRW Author Stacy Juba fools Around With Cinderella on #Thursday 13
Stacy Juba got engaged at Epcot Theme Park and spent part of her honeymoon at Disneyland Paris, where she ate a burger, went on fast rides, and threw up on the train ride to the hotel. In addition to working on her new Storybook Valley chick lit/sweet romance series, Stacy has written books about ice hockey, teen psychics, U.S. flag etiquette for kids, and determined women sleuths. When she’s not visiting theme parks with her family, (avoiding rides that spin and exotic hamburgers) Stacy helps writers to strengthen their manuscripts through her Crossroads Editing Service.

When Jaine Andersen proposes a new marketing role to the local amusement park, general manager Dylan Callahan charms her into filling Cinderella’s glass slippers for the summer. Her reign transforms Jaine’s ordinary life into chaos that would bewilder a fairy godmother. Secretly dating her bad boy boss, running wedding errands for her ungrateful sisters, and defending herself from the park’s resident villain means Jaine needs lots more than a comfy pair of shoes to restore order in her kingdom. First in the Storybook Valley series, a blend of sweet romance, chick lit, and fairy tale fun.

Stacy's 13 sentence excerpt
“How blind are you without glasses?” Dylan persisted.
“You wouldn’t want to drive with me.”
“How about if you’re walking around a building? Are you in danger of hurting yourself?”
This interview had taken the Mad Hatter Freeway from Fairy Tale Land into Wonderland where nothing made a damn bit of sense. Did this guy have a glasses fetish, like those weirdoes with shoe fetishes?
“I should be okay. I take them off for special occasions.” In fact, Jaine’s older sister Bree, who was getting married in August, remarked just last week, “You are losing the glasses for my wedding pictures, right?”
What the hell. She’d be a good sport and hope Dylan would be so grateful to pick the brain of a real, flesh and blood, bespectacled person that he would appoint her marketing director. Jaine removed her glasses and the fine details of her surroundings fuzzed. She nodded toward the framed print hanging on a side wall, the picture a wash of symbols and colors.

Her kiss might save the world . . .
Unless his kiss kills her first.
It’s been almost two thousand years since the mer-shifter Skyla walked the streets of Athens. But her oceanic studies are interrupted when she is called upon by the god Poseidon to investigate rumors that the world above is being polluted by the magic of creatures from another realm—and worse, that the ocean kingdom of the mer-people might be next.
When her arrival in modern-day Greece leads her to an American detective, Skyla realizes that the magical problem she’s been sent to research is bigger than she anticipated—and that one human’s kisses might be more dangerous to her, and her world, than she ever could have imagined.

#MFRWauthor Mahlee Ashwynne gets ON TARGET on #Thursday13
MFRW author Mahlee Ashwynne hosts Thursday13 today with her latest release.
About the author:
"Writing has been an integral part of my life. I have many plots in the pipeline ... so many and only one life! But I hope to get as many as I can out there either self published or through publishers.
I fell in love with the medieval era. So much fiction that can be interwoven between facts and real people of history! The futuristic aspect of what might be in science fiction drew me like a magnet. I pre empted the popularity of supernatural fiction too with my love for that genre. What I write now reflects my interests."
Genre science fiction, erotic
Blurb
An assassin needs anonymity, loose ends tied up. Svanger slayers have no room for sentiment. Until one woman cracks his icy veneer.
Ace reporter Chaz Halyssion is witness to the assassination of the King of Malthusen. She has it recorded. As one of the few off-worlders there she is under immediate suspicion and on the run. Problem is the real assassin knows she can identify him but he needs her to help him get off-world.
Aldien is the last of the legendary Chameleords. The best at his job in the galaxy. He never leaves anything to chance. Chaz is his last option for escape. She dies once her usefulness is over.
In his darkness Chaz sows a thread of light and hope Aldien needs to extinguish. With regret. In the end he has to choose. He has two options. Kill her, or mind-wipe her and walk away from her forever.

1 Her family, for all its status and importance,
wouldn’t stand by her or disrupt their lives for her well-being.
2 Somehow she needed to glide through the night,
unrecognised, and make it to board the starflight home
3 As a Svanger slayer he must preserve invisibility,
nothing to connect him to a completed mission.
4 Before she hit the floor the same arms that held her
captive caught her and lifted her against a leather-clad chest.
5 “My murder. Or is rape your motivation? That’s what
you want,” she spat out in a bitter whisper.
6 “It’s a long ride to the starport. You won’t be able
to evade capture and detention alone. Not many survive questioning,
particularly where it concerns the death of their king.”
7 “Yeah, right. Obviously you have something bigger than
your ego they desire. Your natural charm leaves much to the imagination.” The
fiend was enjoying this.
8 “Listen closely. I’m telling you only once. This day
has been hell. I got squashed in crowds, singed by stray laser fire, turned
into a fugitive, ran until my lungs gave up, found myself a seedy room,
attacked by you, then my senses assaulted and aroused.” She flexed her nails
into his skin to emphasise her demand. “ I want. You give. Got it?”
9 By taking his body unconditionally she seduced his
mind.
10 “Strange woman. Naked you didn’t have any
pretensions. Dressed, you have reservations about getting up close. I don’t
think either of us is in a condition to indulge in wild uninhibited sex in this
tight space. And you are the one in danger of succumbing to an illness.”
11 “Chameleord. It gave my race the means to disguise
themselves in other appearances, including a change of eye colour. Mine are
predominantly blue-based. However, I can achieve amber, brown, emerald greens
and any other variation I can see.”
12 There was no room for sentimentality or any other
emotion. She had to die.
13 Damned if he killed her, damned if he let her live.
Either way there was a wound within him that would never heal."

Virtue's Lady on #Thursday13 with #MFRWauthor @JessicaCale
MFRW Author Jessica Cale hosts today's
#Thursday 13 and reveals to us her latest release
Virtue's Lady
Jessica Cale is a historical romance author
and journalist based in North Carolina. Originally from Minnesota, she lived in
Wales for several years where she earned a BA in History and an MFA in Creative
Writing while climbing castles and photographing mines for history magazines.
She kidnapped (“married”) her very own British prince (close enough) and is
enjoying her happily ever after with him in a place where no one understands
his accent.
Publisher Liquid Silver Books
Genre Historical, Comedy
Blurb
Lady Jane Ramsey is young, beautiful, and
ruined.
Rescued from kidnapping by a handsome
highwayman, she returns home to find her prospects drastically reduced. Her
father expects her to marry, but Jane has other plans. She is determined to
find her highwayman again.
After years of robbing coaches and surviving
on his wits, Mark Virtue knows it’s time to hang up his pistol. As a carpenter
struggling to find work in the aftermath of The Fire, Jane is unfathomably far
beyond his reach, and there’s no use wishing for the impossible.
When Jane turns up in Southwark, Mark is
furious. In spite of his feelings for her, Southwark is no place for a lady.
Jane must set aside her lessons to learn a new set of rules if she is to
survive the crime-ridden slum and prove to Mark—and to herself—that there’s
more to her than meets the eye.
Buy Link Amazon.comShe shares 13 sentences from her book:
He shook his head, his eyes settling on her
lips. “I don’t want you to get hurt,” he confessed.
She resisted the urge to lean into him with
some difficulty. “I’ve done fine this far.”
“Have you?” He took her hand, turning her
palm upwards to examine the damage: pinpricks, swollen fingertips, the ghosts
of calluses forming where she grasped the shears.
She tugged her hand away from him but he
didn’t let go. He held her gaze, his eyes searching hers, and she was struck
again by their extraordinary color. Deep blue, green, and grey, shifted across
his irises in restless, churning waves, the color of a storm on the river. They
darkened as he raised her hand to his mouth and kissed the palm, the touch of
his lips like a balm on her sore skin.
Jane held her breath, waiting to drown.
He smiled his crooked smile, a touch of
condescension in the corners. “If all you wanted was another night, you didn’t
have to go to such trouble.”
