He sets his sights on his dead best friend's little sister, who has turned into a ravenous beauty with the mature soul of a warrior. Jules vows revenge upon the duke who forces Jules into marriage and sets them both on a roller coaster of hatred, love, betrayal, fear, and finally a resolution so surprising, neither Ethan nor Jules saw it coming.

#MFRWauthor Book Spotlight: The Sun King @skylewrites by Sandra Kyle
Sandra Kyle released The Sun King, an Erotic Historical.
Young Cecilia Danet is introduced to the opulent world of royalty when she joins the court of King Louis XIV—the Sun King. Having been groomed her whole life for the role of a courtesan prepares her for everything but the intense passion she feels with the brooding and powerful Louis. Their romance builds, but an intriguing twist changes the trajectory of Cecilia’s course and leaves her caught in the middle of a royal love triangle.
REVIEW
"Sun King is a beautiful, sexy novel filled with all the pomp and circumstance of the era. The descriptions were so evocative and visual that I felt like I was right there in the French ruler’s court. Thanks to the immediacy of the storytelling, I fell in love with the Sun King right along with Cecilia.
Although the love story (or should I say stories) turned out to be somewhat unorthodox and surprising, as a reader I rooted for the heroine all the way through to the end.
I tend to be a slow reader, but I finished the book in just a few sittings. The only book I ever finished faster was The Great Gatsby. I will definitely be looking for more stories by Ms. Kyle."
EXCERPT
Sandra is a first generation American, born to Italian parents who came to the U.S. in search of a better life. Along with their dreams they brought vivid tales (sometimes wonderful, sometimes far-fetched, sometimes downright terrifying) told time and time again around the kitchen table. That is where her love for storytelling and daydreaming began.
Sandra is an avid moviephile and introvert, and will read anything from Austen to King. She resides on the East Coast with her husband and bipolar feline.

He moved closer. His perfection crept toward me with ease. His hands gripped my shoulders, guiding me to face the mirror once again. I met his gaze in the mirror as his reflection fell over me. His fingers traveled lightly across my bare skin. They found their way over my back and neck, into my hair. He bent down, lifting my curls to meet his nose. He deliberately inhaled my scent.ABOUT Sandra Kyle
He found the last remaining hairpins at the crown of my head and released them. The locks tumbled around my face. Grabbing at the tresses, he rested them behind my shoulders. His fingers ran through them again.
“So dark and beautiful.” He spoke to no one in particular. I took the moment to spy upon him. He continued the luxurious combing, wrapping my curls around his skin. Brown tendrils of wispy hair framed his face, falling around his shoulders. The hair, so perfectly arranged at the dinner table, broke free. A few strands fell against his forehead, obscuring one of his azure eyes. A hand lifted from my lap momentarily, wanting to brush them back.
This is his time.
“You have interrupted my thoughts often since I saw you that first time. What it would feel like to touch you. How you would feel beneath me.”
A gasp left my mouth, my thoughts envisioning his words. His hands pulled my hair to the side, over my shoulder.
“Stand up, my treasure.”
I rose slowly from the chair. As I stepped to face him, his gaze wandered over my body again, looking down at me. “Do you know why you are here?”
I nodded before he demanded, “Tell me.”
I stammered. “I-I am here to please you.”
“Do you know how?” I hesitated, not quite sure what response would be appropriate. “It is all right. I will show you.” His hands found my waist before sneaking around to my back. He pulled me against him. The silk of our clothing swished together. His mouth opened. Hot breath washed over me. He licked his top lip. “Do you want me to show you?”
“Yes, Louis.”

My ideas can come from any place or time, experience, even a song. One small thought can fuel an entire project. I have been writing since I was a kid, but seriously writing romance for over 10 years. A great deal of my personality and slices of life experiences are in the writing, however, my characters are their own people, with their own histories, personalities and goals.
Tides of Hope is a book I wanted to write for women in particular. Sara's marriage fails, and the close relationship she has with her daughter is in serious jeopardy. Saying 'yes' to everyone but herself for so long leaves her wondering who she is, and what she wants from life. Gabriel, the sexy male protagonist in the story, makes everything she thinks and feels come into question. He pushes her boundaries, and his presence in her life takes her farther than she ever dreamed possible.
Targeting the 30 plus reader; a story about second chances "It's exciting to publish Tides of Hope, the first novel in a contemporary romance series. It's set on Nantucket, MA, an historic, unique island I fell in love with a long time ago.
Sara Shepard is refashioning her life after giving it all to her family, job and home. With her daughter off at college and a failed marriage behind her, it's time to get back to basics. After years of saying yes to everyone and ignoring her own needs, Sara is ready to explore a new future, and do the things she's always wanted to do.
Billionaire playboy Gabriel Donovan finds his family business unfulfilling. He passes the reigns to his younger brother. Now that he's following his passion professionally, he's ready for a meaningful personal relationship.
When their paths cross and they are forced to spend time together, neither can deny the explosive chemistry between them. Soon their relationship goes beyond the mere physical, and an element of danger puts more than their hearts on the line.
Tides of Hope, Book 1
Follow Sara Shepard to stunning Nantucket Island. Feel the sea breezes and walk perfect beaches in the one place she truly feels at home.
After her estranged husband is medically discharged from the Marines suffering from PTSD, life becomes unsafe. With her marriage over, and her relationship with her daughter in shambles, she starts over on the island. After years of saying yes to everyone and ignoring her own needs, Sara is ready to explore a bright new future, and do the things she's always wanted to do. Without a man.
Billionaire playboy Gabriel Donovan suddenly walks away from it all. Now that he's following his passion professionally, he feels ready to focus on a meaningful relationship. Being away from the drama tearing his family apart is an added bonus.
Gabriel is hired to restore the beach cottage Sara is renting. From the time you open the book, experience the explosive attraction between them.
When their relationship goes beyond physical, a heart pounding element of danger puts much more than their hearts on the line." “Fuck.” The epithet slipped through Alex’s lips, a guttural cry that echoed against the heavy air that surrounded him. ""You’re certain?""
""Reynard landed right outside the gate to this deserted estate on Biscayne Bay and went inside. There’s only one way out, and I’ve been watching it. I swear he hasn’t gone anywhere unless he’s found a way to slip through stone walls. But since he’s been in Miami, three women have died. His work. I’m sure of it, though I don’t know how he gets in and out.""
Most vampires, Alex included, could move with stealth when circumstances demanded it. But Alex had been studying Louis Reynard since his pattern of serial killings began, and he’d never observed that the bastard could cloak his presence from fellow vampires—or that he could move through solid walls the way Alex and his clansmen could if they were sufficiently motivated. Still, the wily vampire had obviously managed to sneak out from under Philippe’s watchful eye. Three times so far.
It became more evident every time Alex encountered Reynard that while he might be old and battered, even for a vampire, he possessed an unequaled arsenal of powers. Alex shouldn’t have been surprised. After all, Louis had been honing his supernatural abilities for evil since centuries before Alex had been born.
What should I do? Philippe’s tone broadcast his frustration, a sentiment Alex echoed.
""It’s all right, my friend. I should be there very soon—assuming the winds don’t change direction."" Damn. He, Stefan and Claude shouldn’t have expected a made vampire, no matter how well Philippe was motivated, to be able to destroy Reynard or even keep him under surveillance once Reynard had sensed his presence.
They themselves had failed to end the serial killer’s life, and they’d been three against one. Alex let out another oath as he broke through the clouds and zeroed in on the bright lights of Florida’s Gold Coast.
No. Reynard still lived to wreak havoc on mortal women. And to horrify and terrify Alina, his cousin and the d’Argent clan’s beloved queen. Alex concentrated hard, cut through the damp air with a satisfying whoosh and sped toward his destination with hardened resolve.
This time he wouldn’t fail. Louis Reynard would die. And d’Argent honor would be restored.ABOUT Ann Jacobs

Where does #MFRWauthor Brenda Whiteside @BrendaWhitesid2 get her Story Ideas?
MFRW Author Brenda Whiteside talks about where her story ideas come from.
Convinced she was born to be an artist, Brenda never took her love of writing seriously…until sometime after college, after marrying a man doing a stint in the army, and after the birth of her son, she found more satisfaction filling a blank page with words than an empty canvas with color.
Brenda and her husband are gypsies at heart having lived in six states and two countries. Currently, they split their time between the prairie in Northern Arizona and the RV life. At home or in the RV, she spends most of her time writing stories of discovery and love entangled with suspense.
My stories are character driven. Many of the characters who populate my novels are inspired by the people who populate my life, past and present. More often than not, a trait, an event, or something as simple as a comment from someone I know will be the springboard for a story.
I’ve always loved to make up stories and write. If how I fared in school was any indication, I was meant to be a writer. But for reasons I can’t remember, I wanted to be an artist. My painting talents were decent, and I received accolades in art classes, too. As an adult, I finally came to enjoy writing more after taking a creative writing course.
I didn’t choose to write romance. Romance chose me. My goal was to write stories of human relationships. What I found was the strongest and most complicated of all is the relationship of love. Choose any genre and a story of romance can be woven into the novel.
Over the years, my stories have progressed from being closely derived from my own life to total fiction. But always there are facets of my own personality that leak into my writing. It could be as simple as a character having my love of flavored coffee to their heritage being part Native American. I always use settings where I have lived or enjoyed lengthy visits.
A Legacy of Love and Murder is set in Austria. I’ve spent time in Austria and have a very good Austrian friend who lives in the area I use in the book. This is the third book in the series and the second book to deal with searching out ancestral connections. Lacy Dahl, from book one, is traveling with her daughter, August. Inheriting an Austrian Castle is an Alpine fairytale for August, until someone begins killing the heirs.
A Legacy of Love and Murder
In Austria to meet her great-grandfather and explore his castle estate filled with priceless art, August
Myer arrives to find he’s died suspiciously. As one of the heirs, her life is in danger, turning this fairytale Alpine adventure into a nightmare of unexplained accidents, neo-Nazi threats, and murder.
Inspector Tobias Wolf splits his time between his profession and fighting the spread of neo-Nazism. But when the beautiful, intriguing American crosses his path during a murder investigation, ensuring her safety challenges his priorities…and his heart.
When August learns the handsome inspector’s involvement with a major female Nazi is more than he’s admitted, and the death of her great-grandfather is somehow connected, she takes the investigation into her own hands. The outcome could be the death of both of them.
